Resources need to be focused on rewarding excellent teachers and funding world-class environments in the classroom. I believe parental involvement is critical to student success. A parent should have the right to know what is being taught in our schools and information about a child should never be withheld from a parent.
I believe in fiscal responsibility. State spending exploded during the Pandemic and has not returned to "normal" levels. It has risen by almost 10% per year! State budget surpluses should go towards reducing the income tax burden on all Delaware residents.
State government is using its regulatory authority to interfere in our free choice as citizens and consumers. For example, in only 2 years almost half of the vehicles at the new car dealers in Delaware MUST be EV (not even hybrid). Our legislature and representatives have never voted for this!
Brandywine Hundred needs a representative that focuses on local needs in a practical, responsive manner. We need representation in Dover who will fight for parents, small businesses, our children’s schools and seniors. We need to keep our community safe, return budget surpluses to seniors and families and invest in Brandywine Hundred!
